Camellia japonica Volunteer

A compact bushy camellia with glossy evergreen leaves and an upright growth habit producing large double to anemone type flowers from mid-winter to early spring.

One of the enchanting features of this variety is its ever changing colour display throughout the season! Blooms open in soft shades of pink and white and as the weeks pass the colours gradually intensify transforming into vibrant pink-red tones accented with white. By the end of the season the flowers mature into a bold pure red offering a dramatic and striking finale.

Eventual height and spread: 1.5-2.5m x 2-3m
