Aeonium arboreum ‘Schwartzkopf’

A very popular and particularly striking Aeonium that bears rich purple, almost black, leaves. The new leaves are green in the centre of the rosette. The overall colour will turn darker when in full sun, in the spring and summer months.

It is an erect, sub-shrub succulent that produces spectacular large panicles of bright yellow flowers in late spring. Grow in full sun in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and protect from frost.
