Rhododendron hybrid ‘Marcel Menard’ *(AGM)

This variety has stood the test of time and is very hardy and will tolerate a wide range of conditions. Beautiful deep purple-violet flowers from late may into June are set against dark evergreen foliage. Plant in a mixed shrub border or woodland garden. A good choice for a screen plant or informal hedge.

Use ericaceous compost and position the root ball level with the soil when planting. No pruning is necessary apart from the removal of misplaced or crossing shoots after flowering. This will help maintain a healthy and neat framework.
